Haman from the Torah, from Where?
55. Haman from the Torah, from Where?
I heard on Shevat 16, February 13, 1941
Haman from the Torah, from where? “Have you eaten from the tree from which I commanded you not to eat?” (Genesis 3:11). We must understand the connection between Haman and Etz ha Daat [tree of knowledge]. Etz ha Daat is considered the state of greatness of reception, which is not in Kedusha [holiness] and must be brought into the Kedusha through corrections.
The quality of Haman is also the state of greatness of reception, as it is written that Haman said, “Whom would the king,” King of the world, “want to honor more than me?” It means that it is discerned as the state of greatness of reception, and this is discerned as “And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord.”
