“Right” Means Wholeness
522. “Right” Means Wholeness
The Zohar (VaYikra): “Right” means wholeness, where even if he has nothing and he only remembers that there is spirituality, although he does not have it, he is still happy with what he has and says that there are many people in the world, including himself, who often do not even remember that there is the matter of serving the Creator in the world. But now he does remember it, and he is happy and thanks the Creator for rewarding him. This is called “one door.”
The other door is the “left,” meaning criticism about the work, namely that if spirituality is really so important, why is he not yearning for the wisdom of the Torah? At that time, a person falls into a descent because he is still unable to work with great labor. Thus, he receives a descent from the “left.”
We need a “right” so as to be whole and be able to receive the abundance. However, they do not have Kelim [vessels]. From the left they receive the Kelim, meaning the deficiencies. During the deficiency, they part. This is similar to receiving in order to bestow. From the “left,” only the Kelim are made.
