Rabash / How Great Is Your Name

782. How Great Is Your Name

July 18, 1965, Antwerp

“How great is Your name … on the heaven,” for all those camps of angels thank and glorify this action, that was revealed on earth, and which was not revealed to them (The Zohar, Item 62 in the Sulam [Ladder commentary on The Zohar]).

In other words, a person must first achieve the degree of “angel,” meaning that one should achieve the degree of “angel,” where he can say songs and praises that the holy names are revealed to other people. But before he can praise its revelation to others, he becomes angry that the holy names are not revealed, except that he has still not been awarded the degree of “angel.”

“Angel” means the quality of Hesed [grace/mercy]. Once they have been rewarded with the degree of “angel,” they can be rewarded with the degree of “man of below,” called “earth.” The quality of “heaven” is regarded as the quality of “angels,” and this is the meaning of “Give Your glory on the heaven,” which he interprets that they are the angels that praise the fact that the holy names were revealed to those who are in the quality of “earth.”

Afterward, the person himself is rewarded with the quality of “earth,” called “reception in order to bestow,” while heaven is called “bestowing in order to bestow,” which is the quality of “angel.”
