Rabash / Desire and Intellect

712. Desire and Intellect

Desire and intellect: The desire is the essence, the ruler, and it has many servants at its disposal, such as a counselor called “intellect,” and slaves that execute, called “hands and legs,” and eyes and ears and nose, etc.

Although the intellect is smart and the desire is not smart, the desire is still the ruler. This is like a rich man who has several businesses around the world. In each business, he has great executives, skillful overseers, and adept lawyers at the disposal of the managers.

He died, leaving the inheritance to his son, who is still a child and does not know about negotiations, and for anything he wants to know or do, he must consult with the overseers and the lawyers at his service. Nevertheless, that child is the real owner and not the managers and overseers. So is the desire with respect to the mind.
