Rabash / From the Depths I Have Called You, Lord – 2

702. From the Depths I Have Called You, Lord – 2

“From the depths I have called You, Lord.” Therefore, one should pray from the lowest place. When one prays that the Creator will satisfy his needs, he must try to see how he is deep in the earth, that he is immersed in earthliness, and for this he must pray.

But when people pray for luxuries, meaning that they are actually fine but they would like some more, but do not know or see that they are at the bottom of Sheol [underworld], which is called the deepest that can be. And this is “for You hear the prayer of every mouth,” whether a person is decent or not.
