567. The Quality of Truth – 2
The truth has the power to shine vitality for a person even when the truth is very bitter.
We see that often when a person sees the lowliness of his state, he is still happy about it, meaning that he has vitality. Instead of regretting and feeling the gravity of his state and being bitter, he feels delight and pleasure.
We see that in corporeality, when someone sees that he is bare and indigent while his friends have abundance, he feels bad and has no peace of mind. But in spirituality, when one sees the lowliness of one’s state, it gives him peace of mind.
The thing is that in spirituality, everything depends on the quality of truth, since to the extent that one follows falsehood, to that extent he becomes remote from the Creator, as it is written, “He who speaks lies shall not be established before My eyes.” Hence, when one sees his true state, that he is bare and indigent in his spiritual state, since this is the truth, the truth shines for him so he will have vitality.
Through the vitality, he obtains a measure of confidence that henceforth he will be able to correct his actions. Based on this, he ascends in the measure of confidence and begins to come into the work of the Creator.
Conversely, when one fools oneself and does not see the truth will remain forever in a state of descent and lowliness, and no one will be able to help him in this because he is not asking for help, since he does not feel that he needs anything in spirituality.
