Rabash / Wisdom and Prayer

562. Wisdom and Prayer

“Hannah was speaking in her heart, and Ali thought that she was drunk.” We should ask why not crazy.

It is known that prayer should be in a manner of “And her voice was not heard,” meaning not for oneself but in order to bestow. This is the meaning of “I borrowed it from the Lord,” for her entire prayer was in the form of “for the Creator” and not for herself. Also, Hochma from above downward is regarded as drunkenness.

He thought that her intention was Hochma in the manner of from above downward, but her intention was on her heart, meaning that her heart was not fine. This is the meaning of her speaking about her heart not being fine.

Ali means Al Liba [on her heart], meaning that Hochma does not spread inside the heart, which is called Hochma from above downward. Her intention was on her heart, that the heart was not fine, meaning that her prayer was why she deserved such a harsh punishment that the heart would yearn to extend from above downward, while her request was that the Creator would send her a spirit of purity, so the heart would yearn for the manner of from below upward.
