495. The Creator Ascended
The Creator ascended, as it is written, “God ascended with a shout” (The Zohar, Yitro, Item 250).
We should understand what it means that the Creator ascended; are there ascents and descents in the Creator?
Answer: All the ascents and descents that unfold in the created beings come from the created beings. But in Godliness, there are no changes. However, if the lower ones are worthy, God is ascended in them during the ascent, meaning they see the importance of Godliness, and this is called “God ascended with a shout.”
