When the Youth Bring the Spirit of the Holiday

This evening, our youth community hosted a festive Ushpizin dinner, and from the very beginning, there was an incredible, uplifting atmosphere in the room. You could feel the energy of connection spreading from one person to another.

The evening centered on Jacob, who represents the middle line - the ability to connect opposite forces and rise above them through connection. The youth brought this idea into the workshop with a simple but powerful question: Can you give an example of Jacob in your ten? Where do you see this middle line appearing between you and your friends?

It was not just a question to discuss intellectually. It became something to experience together - to look at our relationships and recognize the moments when we choose connection over separation, when we build something in between us that is greater than any one of us.

And then the singing started.

Within moments, everyone was on their feet. This is something very characteristic of Bnei Baruch: a serious discussion can suddenly turn into a room full of singing, movement and joy. There was no distance between the generations, no one standing on the sidelines. We were simply together.

This is what makes these gatherings so special. The holiday is not only something we learn about. We create it between us. The Ushpizin are not just historical figures we remember; they represent qualities that we can awaken in our own connection.

Tonight, the youth showed once again how much life and energy there is in our community when the desire for connection is given space. The result was a truly festive evening - full of warmth, joy and an incredible spirit that stayed with everyone throughout the dinner.
