Building the Convention Inside Us

"We got so much fuel from the regional convention, and it gave us so much hope about the future of humanity." An impression about the convention we heard from one of the participants.

Another friend from Netanya shared that he was hesitant to participate - but the moment he entered the venue he was hugged from all sides, and truly felt the Creator with us. He's full of gratitude and looking forward to the big convention in February.

One of the organizers: "We went around to all the conventions. Everyone is used to Petach Tikvah doing everything. No one else has that level of infrastructure. But once the shock passes we felt the hearts of the friends who left nothing to chance. We're so grateful for seeing the greatness of the friends."

"I want to talk about Rav. I saw his strength in each friend. Each advice that he gave us - I saw each friend operating with that great force and love that Rav has toward us. We wish him all the best and that we'll all succeed thanks to him."

On the one hand the convention is full of joy and on the other hand so deep and internal. We really felt it in each and every convention - how Rav is speaking to us through the connection between the friends. Everything he gave us over the last 40 years - it was all expressed in every region in Israel that we visited. The same spirit was felt everywhere even though each area had its unique flavor.

After the impressions from our friends around the world, we transition into our next vital topic: how we actually anchor the light and state we received during the convention and translate it into our ongoing work.

Bottom line, it's worth investing in the friends.

Following The Convention

A powerful convention creates a huge ascent, but what comes next is where the true spiritual work begins. Here are some insights from our teacher Michael Laitman -

  1. Making the Assessment: We need to summarize what we went through. Ask yourself internally: What did I receive from this convention? Where did I stand before, what did I acquire during it, and how do I move forward into this new state?
  2. Expressing It Together: It is highly recommended that we write down these summaries in our own languages, so we can gather them into a single, shared summary in English. This allows us to attain the general whole (sach hakol) and step into the next stage together.
  3. The "Internal Convention": Now, after the external excitement, begins the quiet, internal convention—building that connected state within ourselves until it becomes a permanent reality.
  4. A New Scale for Measurement: Use the closeness felt during the convention as a benchmark. Every day, check whether our hearts are drawing closer than before.
  5. Understanding the Aftermath: The emotional high will naturally fade. Don't try to hold onto it by force, and don't regret its passing. The emptiness that follows is simply a new Kli (desire) opening up for higher work. What was truly acquired remains yours—even discovering an inability to connect is an achievement and a step forward, not a failure.
  6. Don't Judge the Results Too Soon: The true impact of a convention unfolds over time. Whatever felt missing points directly to what needs to be worked on next. The period between conventions is not "dead time"—it is the exact space where each person rises to uplift the others.

Practical Next Steps

The connection created at the convention through external influence must now be sustained through our own effort within the ten, in study, and in dissemination.

  1. Keep the Impression Alive: Revisit the convention lessons and watch a short clip daily. Continually remind each other in the ten of the absolute importance of the goal.
  2. Take Action: Find a practical role that binds you to serving the environment and the society.
  3. Group Summaries: Gather in your groups to write down concise key insights and renewals from the convention.

Turning Descent into the Next Ascent

If you experience a drop or a cooling off after a powerful convention, you should know that it's completely natural. Leading up to the convention, we were running around preparing lessons, setting up systems, and elevating ourselves toward the event. During the gathering, groups worldwide reached a level of unity far beyond our daily routines. Naturally, returning home and stepping back into normal life creates a gap.

This post-convention stage is our most important work.

Holding onto that spirit and impression right when the external energy fades is how we build genuine vessel of bestowal (Kelim d'Hashpa'a). Facing this challenge directly is how we attain new spiritual degrees and truly step into our next level.
