What Defines a Person: The Vessel or the Host?

A vessel may experience great pleasure, emptiness, or suffering while also sensing — or losing — the presence of the Host who fills it. What defines a person spiritually is the relationship between these two perceptions: whether the sensation inside the vessel dominates, or attention remains directed toward the Host.
