You Stand Today, All of You

Hello and welcome to all our dear friends. We're happy to be here in this old/new evening time slot. It's old because we've been teaching at this hour here for over a year. But up until now it was in the Zoom framework for our campus students, and friends from the learning community started joining. So now we've moved it to our Arvut system like all the main lessons. So we're happy to see you here on this system - friends from Israel and all over the world - Africa, Europe, America. All together and attracting the light that reforms us.

Today we heard in the morning lesson that we can only attract the light that reforms us from a book written by a Kabbalist, who inserted spiritual forces into the book. And that's what we want to do here today. Follow in the footsteps of the Kabbalists. This time slot will be about Rabash's articles. Once in a while there will be special features but in principle - this is for studying Rabash's articles and how to apply them to the ten. Each of us in our tens and the global group made up of hundreds of tens. We'll read the source and try to verify whatever you need - please feel free to ask us anything. Part of the reason for this new time slot is so that you'll have a place to ask questions. In the morning lesson you don't really have a chance because it's so focused, and the afternoon lesson also dives into the article. But here we have an open platform for asking questions and thinking together. You can raise your hand to ask a question or send a text question through the Arvut system in your native language.

There are some serious benefits to having this lesson:

1) First of all integration. We don't have that many opportunities to integrate with friends from all over the world. This lesson is translated into 32 languages and we can see our friends from Turkey, Asia, Zichron, Ukraine, and Italy, with us on the screen. We're living in a global interconnected world after all, so this study will be beneficial for all of us.

2) The fact that it's a live lesson. If you have the opportunity, ideally you'll learn online with your ten, along with hundreds of other tens joining the lesson.

3) The fact that you can ask questions.

4) We'll be doing workshops. As you can see we're not rushing anywhere in this slot. Our goal is to go through all of Rabash's articles. That's the task.

Who is this lesson intended for? For anyone who's been studying with us anywhere up to around ten years. It's for people who want explanations of the material. For friends who haven't gone over all of Rabash's articles yet - we're here at your service and plan to go through these articles in a very thorough way. And of course throughout all this you'll begin applying these principles in your ten.

The article we're reading today is You Stand Today, All of You. This is a very different format than the morning lesson - everything will be more relaxed and open.

This article is about making a covenant between us - what is all this work for hashem? It's to build an attribute of bestowal called the Creator. Covenant is a new term at the heart of this article. And there are many questions here - make a covenant between who and who? With me and my ten? Between myself and the Creator? Between all of us and the Creator? Who is making the covenant with who? We'll start reading and allow Rabash to lead us to the answers.

You Stand Today, All of You is a term from the bible. As always, Rabash takes a term from there to base his article on.

Making a "covenant," is essentially about the spiritual method of unifying humanity above our natural self-interest. Because we were originally created with an egoistic "desire to receive" for ourselves, we must actively build a connection with others. By shifting our relationships to match the Creator's nature of giving, we cultivate an environment where the Creator's light is revealed.
