Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Who can participate in the Convention?
All students and friends of the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Academy are invited to attend.
2. Can I bring my friends and/or family members?
The Convention schedule and activities are geared toward Kabbalah students.
You are welcome to register friends and family who wish to enjoy the camp and its beautiful surroundings; however, there will be no additional program beyond the planned Kabbalah activities. We encourage you to take this opportunity to fully engage in the Convention, and of course, your friends and family are welcome to join the program if they wish.
3. Can I bring my kids with me?
The Convention program is not suitable for children under 18. However, a special program for children will be organized by parents themselves, and you're welcome to take part in it!
There will be designated play areas for children and plenty of nature for them to enjoy.
4. Where should I fly to and how do I get to the event place?
The closest airport is Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, which is well-connected with many low-cost and international airlines. From the airport, you can take various airport bus lines to the city center.
Public transport buses depart approximately every 5 minutes and connect to the metro (underground) at their final stops.
The event will take place in ‘Camp Balaton’ facility, located at Hárs utca 11, 8637 Balatonőszöd, a village located in the Siófok district of Somogy County, right on the shores of Lake Balaton.
Most of the village area is occupied by the campsite where the event will be held.
By car: You can reach the site by car from Budapest via the M7 motorway. Depending on traffic, the journey takes between 1 hour 10 minutes and 1 hour 40 minutes.

By train: There is a railway line passing through Balatonőszöd, but no train station in the village itself. The nearest station is Balatonszemes, located 2 kilometers west of the site. You can take a train from Budapest Déli Railway Station to Balatonszemes, with trains departing every 30 to 60 minutes during the day. The journey takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. Local transfers from Balatonszemes railway station to the site can be arranged upon request.
Transportation: Information about organised transportation from the Airport to the Convention venue will be provided during the registration process.
5. What language will the Convention be held in?
The main languages will be Hebrew and English, with simultaneous translation into 30 other languages available both on-site and online.
6. What type of meals will be served?
Delicious, kosher-style meals will be provided throughout the convention, including vegetarian options. Meals are part of the full program and a beautiful opportunity to connect together.
7. Will there be options for different dietary needs?
Yes, we will do our best to accommodate various dietary needs, including gluten-free, lactose-free, and other special requirements. Please let us know your specific needs in advance by writing to us at congress@kabbalah.academy
8. Can I request specific roommates? Can we choose who to share a room with?
Sleeping accommodations include separate shared apartments for men, women, couples, and families. We will gladly honour requests for specific roommates in the same shared apartment.
9. What happens if I’ve paid, but need to cancel at the last moment?
All refunds will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the registration cost for cancellations received before May 7, 2025. Cancellations received less than two weeks before the first day of the Convention (May 22, 2025) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All cancellations must be submitted via email to the Convention organisers at congress@kabbalah.academy.
